Kylie Jenner could soon be selling her cosmetics collection food-truck style.
The beauty entrepreneur has recently filed legal documents to trademark a Kylie truck, as well as a Kylie Jenner truck, for what will seemingly allow her to take her successful Kylie Cosmetics line and other Kylie-branded merch on the road, as it were. Should the mobile service actually happen, it would be a smart business move for the 20-year-old, who is known to drive big crowds wherever she parks her products. Her pop-up shop at Westfield Topanga in Canoga Park, California, in 2016 generated a massive line that started at 9 p.m. the night before its opening.
The youngest Jenner most recently expanded her beauty empire by hosting holiday pop-ups at seven Topshop locations. Her makeup line was previously only available direct-to-consumer on her website and at Kylie Cosmetics-operated pop-ups in New York and Los Angeles.
At this rate, it’s no wonder Kylie Cosmetics is on track to become a billion-dollar beauty brand by 2022. The label made $420 million in sales in just 18 months, WWD reported in August.
While Jenner’s brand has found success in pop-ups, she has expressed an interest in brick-and-mortar in the future. “I think it’s time people walk into a store and see Kylie Cosmetics. … I do want that but we haven’t figured out exactly how we’re going to do that and what approach we’re going to take,” she told WWD.
Regardless of where she sets up shop (or truck) next, Jenner’s fans will no doubt follow.
