Angelenos can substitute cacti for Christmas trees this year.
Culver City retail hub PLATFORM is partnering with Highland Park’s Ponderosa Cactus for an inaugural Holiday Cactus Lot. A different take on the typical Christmas tree lot, the retail experience features more sustainable, prickly alternatives to non-indigenous evergreens.
Guests can peruse the tinsel-adorned succulents while enjoying seasonal treats from the new Milk Bar truck, an extension of Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar, as well as complimentary tea from Art of Tea. Venice’s Bend Goods will furnish the pop-up with festive decor.
The Holiday Cactus Lot will be open the three weekends leading up to Christmas from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., starting this Friday, and is located under the Metro Gold Line in Culver City.
