Mike Colter is now a father of two.
The 42-year-old actor and his wife, Netflix executive Iva Colter, gave birth to their second daughter, which the actor revealed Sunday on his Instagram account.
The baby news comes a couple of days after Colter’s Netflix show Marvel’s Luke Cage was canceled by the streaming site.
“Luke Cage represented something more than just entertainment. @MarvelsLukeCage added to our social commentary and made viewers think by challenging the norm and putting out a character that reflected the everyday hero, one with flaws, strengths and everything in between,” said Colter, who reflected on the show’s cancellation in his post.

The actor continued with the good news of becoming a dad: “As one door closes, another has opened, with the birth of my 2nd daughter. Born this week. A lot of great memories. Time to make more. Always forward, forward always.”
According to change.org, there is a petition — “Bring Back Luke Cage” — to revive the Netflix show, which already has over 3,800 signatures.
Colter and his wife married in 2016 and also have a 3-year-old daughter.
