Natalie Portman Gets Behind Microfinance for Third World Women (Video)

Natalie Portman has gone into the loan business. Or more exactly, the non-profit loan business.

She and Zoe Saldana are doing PSA announcements for FINCA International, the microfinance organization that’s seeking public support for giving small loans to low-income female entrepreneurs.

The women who are aided are primarily in Third World countries.

Portman’s take on this is, “There is no better gift than giving women living in poverty the ability to provide for themselves and their families.” The PSA videos go on the air Friday.
