There was a new face in the front row of Rebecca Minkoff‘s spring 2016 show: Skyler Samuels, star of Ryan Murphy‘s highly-anticipated horror comedy Scream Queens, debuting Sept. 22 on Fox.
The runway presentation, held at The Gallery at Skylight Clarkson Square on Saturday, was particularly special for Samuels — it was her first time attending New York Fashion Week.

“This is my first fashion show, not only at fashion week, but ever so after this I’m off to Monique Lhuillier,” the 21-year-old star, who sat alongside front-row regulars Jamie Chung, Jaime King and Coco Rocha, told Pret-a-Reporter after the show.
And so far, she’s enjoying every crazy moment that is NYFW.
“This is what you dream of when you play dress up when you’re little, but now I’m grown up and I can do it for real. I’m having a blast,” she added with a smile.
As a huge fan of the NY-based designer — who recently debuted a splashy new store in L.A. — Samuels described Minkoff’s creations as “the epitome of real life cool girl. It’s accessible, sassy, stylish, but you can still feel like you wearing it — what’s not to love?”

During the ’60s youthquake-inspired presentation, which featured live music by indie pop singer BØRNS, models strutted down the catwalk in flowing geo-floral patterned dresses, a lavender suede poncho with fringe, a sheer white blouse paired with a leather jumpsuit and cut-out knee-high boots.
Clad in head-to-toe Minkoff during the show, the blond beauty called out the designer’s knee-high leather boots as the favorite part of her day’s ensemble, saying they have “the softest leather I’ve ever worn and their comfortable shoes. Who doesn’t feel fierce in a great boot?” Amen, sister.
