Scene-stealing actress Analeigh Tipton (Crazy, Stupid, Love) sat front row at Yigal Azrouël‘s runway show in New York Friday morning — dressed in a long-sleeved, black crepe dress from the designer’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection.
Tipton, who was perched next to actress Zelda Rae Williams (Robin Williams‘ daughter), first found fame as a wide-eyed contestant on America’s Next Top Model. But the former catwalker said she doesn’t necessarily consider herself part of the industry anymore.

“I’m connected to fashion in that I love the design part of fashion,” she said. “All of this [she motions to the commotion around her] is something I’m still getting used to. I have a lot of friends who are young designers and I appreciate how passionate they are about what they do, and I also see how much grunt work is involved. I get that they do it because they love it. I wish I could sit down with every designer for 15 minutes so I could figure out how they come up with their designs and do what they do!”

When Azrouël sent her a few looks from the collection to choose from days before the show, she gravitated instantly to the swingy black frock. She added, “I loved this dress the most because it’s not revealing except a little bit here [points to a still-demure peek-a-boo opening on the top]. I tend to like more conservative, understated clothes. I like to be covered, you know?” We get it, Analeigh!
