Trump aide Omarosa Manigault married Florida pastor John Allen Newman at Trump International Hotel in Washington on Saturday. The former Apprentice contestant in January joined President Donald Trump’s White House staff as director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison.
The bride, who prefers to be called by her first name, tweeted “Just Married” along with photos from the ceremony on Saturday. According to The Washington Post, 150 guests attended the ceremony including Trump Organization executive Lynne Patton, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks, socialite Paul Wharton and Trump supporters Diamond and Silk. During the traditional wedding vows, when Omarosa was to say “to take this man for richer or for poorer,” she instead repeated “for richer or for richer.”
Omarosa was one of Trump’s most prominent African-American supporters during his presidential campaign. She previously worked in the office of Vice President Al Gore during the Clinton administration.
Her boss, Trump, was not in attendance at the wedding. He spent the weekend at Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., where he hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Omarosa was dressed in a YSA Makino blush-colored ball gown. The Post reports the $25,000 dress plus accessories were gifted to her for appearing on TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress. She later celebrated with guests into the night dressed in traditional Nigerian gele at The Park at Fourteenth.
Before the morning ceremony and cherry blossom-themed reception, the wedding rehearsal the night before also took place at the Trump hotel, followed by bowling at the White House. Omarosa’s co-workers, including Kellyanne Conway, also celebrated with a bridal party on Wednesday.
Omarosa announced her engagement to Newman last July. Her wedding was initislly planned to be at his church in Jacksonville, Fla., but the location changed after the two received death threats.
