All eyes were on the Oscars Sunday night and these celebrities were using the platform to show support behind their favorite causes. Actor David Oyelowo sported a ribbon promoting ebola awareness, atop his bold red Dolce & Gabbana shawl lapel tuxedo.
Best supporting actress nominees Patricia Arquette mentioned skipping a manicure this morning to launch a campaign to benefit her charity, GiveLove.org, which helps improve sanitation in developing countries and Laura Dern wore a large turquoise ring (the color of lung cancer awareness) to honor her Wild character, who died of lung cancer, stating, “Cheryl’s story and her mother was a great light.”
