If Victoria’s Secret spent her junior year abroad, she’d come back as Etam — more subtly sexy and casually wearing a beret.
Fitting then that France’s leading lingerie brand kicked off Paris Fashion Week with its annual skivvies and swimwear show at the city’s newly revamped Piscine Molitor — the birthplace of the bikini — on the outskirts of town.

Lilly Wood & The Prick, Major Lazer and The Ting Tings warmed up the crowd, which included Natalia Vodianova, who channeled a French maid in a leather-corseted Givenchy, and pop singer Soko, in what was more of a dance party than a show.
There was no water in sight as the runway and stadium seating covered the pool, but Snoop Dogg still made a splash when he took to the stage and instructed the models to “Drop it Like it’s Hot.” They complied of course, as beach balls and blow up sharks bounced around the audience of French A-listers JoeyStarr, Gilles Lellouche, Kevin Azais and Saint Laurent star Aymeline Valade.
After the models cleared, the champagne flowed and Snoop took control of the turntables for the afterparty, playing hits from Icona Pop’s “I Love It,” David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” and debuted some new tracks from his collaboration with Pharrell, including “Bush,” which lit up (ahem) the crowd, despite the city’s indoor smoking ban and stern-looking pompiers on deck.
