In a joint statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, the couple and former Pitch Perfect co-stars explain that their decision to part ways was mutual and amicable.
“We can confirm that we have decided to separate, and this decision was made mutually and amicably,” Camp, 36, and Astin, 31, wrote. “We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this transition.”
According to People, the pair were last spotted together in public at a Disney event for Mickey Mouse’s 90th Spectacular. Both stars have since unfollowed each other on social media, although Astin’s photos of himself and Camp celebrating New Year’s Eve currently remain on his Instagram page. Earlier this year, Camp shared several pictures of her and Astin dancing at a friend’s wedding, which are also still up on the photo-sharing social media platform.

The pair met on the set of the first Pitch Perfect film in 2011 and began dating in 2013, not long after the actress divorced Michael Mosley. Camp and Astin eventually tied the knot at an October 2016 ceremony in California.
Months before their wedding, Astin revealed in an interview with PopSugar the moment he knew he wanted Camp to be his wife. “I knew the second I met her that I wanted to know her, and I just wanted to be in her life. I knew that. I never saw an end of wanting to be in her life, so to say that it’s love at first sight, there’s some truth to that,” the actor said at the time. “I think that I just can’t imagine my life without her, so there’s nothing I’d rather do than marry her.”
