For the third time in a row, Rachel Zoe and husband Rodger Berman, along with Molly Sims and husband Scott Stuber, hosted L.A.’s annual shopping extravaganza Super Saturday where Hollywood participated in shopping for a cause.
Melissa Rivers, Jaime King and Jodie Sweetin were among the thousands of attendees who indulged in retail therapy at the Santa Monica Barker Hangar where vendors/designers including LA Gear, Chinese Laundry, SoulCycle and IT Cosmetics offered products from 30 to 50 percent off.
All of the proceeds went towards the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, which received $4 million from both the L.A. and New York (Hamptons) Super Saturday events in 2015. QVC also returned as an event partner to broadcast live for two hours with host Lisa Rinna, along with a special appearance by Rivers.
Sims has been involved with the annual event for 24 years, starting with the original shopping event at the Hamptons location, which is hosted by Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan this year.
“As a woman, I wanted to get the word out because research is everything,” Sims told THR. “Ovarian cancer — what people don’t realize is you don’t know you have it. You can be stage IV and you have no sense of it. It’s called the “silent killer” for a reason.”
With their family in tow, Sims (who recently gave birth to a new baby) and Zoe sifted through the children’s clothing booths, including Kickee Pants, Bonpoint and Caeden.
“I always love finding treasures for the kids, helping my sister buy a new wardrobe,” Zoe told THR. “My niece is here today so it’s usually a lot of family shopping.”

As summer approaches, Zoe also told THR she’s expecting to see prints, cold shoulders and cutouts, tassels and fringe for the season. Sims said she recently bought a navy blue Reformation crop top that decorated with hearts and shared what she’s looking forward to wearing this summer. “I still love a boho dress and a cross-up, lacey, spikey shoe,” she said (she recently bought a pair of studded Valentinos from Net-a-Porter).
Before Rivers hit the QVC stage, she expressed she was ready to hit the cosmetics section and had already bought a pair of slip-on shoes for both her boyfriend and son. Rivers said she’s currently into Gucci items this summer, including a navy blue striped blazer she wore from the brand.
“The good pieces I’ve already gotten for summer for work and different events are primarily Gucci,” said Rivers. “I think they’ve done such a beautiful job redoing the line and updating the line. The craftsmanship is back and it’s really phenomenal.”

Miss USA, Deshauna Barber, scooped up Chinese Laundry shoes while Fuller House’s Jodi Sweetin attended with her stylist Shannon McClure. Dancer Twitch and girlfriend Allison Holker were also seen making some buys.
“Guilt-free shopping. What is better than that,” joked Rivers.
Super Saturday also included just as much food and activities as shopping: a floral crown station by B Floral, a Mary Kay lip gloss bar and cotton candy station, FIJI Water, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Pink’s Hot Dogs and a popchips bean bag toss.
The Seedling booth was a hit with Rachel Zoe’s sons, where children could build and experience their own virtual reality game. Seedling (Soleil Moon Frye is a co-founder) designs toys intended to boost imagination, including a physical toy maze that can also be imported digitally to play on an iPhone. Taking a photo of the physical maze on the cell phone can then allow kids to navigate through the virtual reality version of the game on a phone using a customizable Seedling cardboard headset.
