If you can’t afford to be a Real Housewife of New York, at least you can dress like one.
Taking a bite from the Big Apple will come at a much more reasonable price thanks to resale site thredUP, which, starting July 24, will be selling iconic pieces from the closets of a few of your favorite Real Housewives of New York, including Carole Radziwill, Dorinda Medley, Ramona Singer, and Luann de Lesseps.
“Summer is always a great time for a detox. Cleaning out my closet and selling my clothes with thredUP feels like the perfect way to kick off a cleansing period. Keeping my home in order gives me a sense of calm. An organized home is an organized mind! It’s time for me to let someone else enjoy my clothes while raising money for a good cause,” says Radziwill.

Money can’t buy you class, but it could score you a one-of-a-kind style from your favorite Bravo-lebrity. The ladies will purge their closets of all the bad memories that have followed them for seasons, from those teary confessionals to the infamous string of parties leading up to de Lesseps’ and Tom D’Agostino’s doomed wedding day.
Pieces from Radziwill’s closet will roll out first, kicking off a four-day shopping extravaganza where all proceeds will go to the charity of each woman’s choice. You can fix your craving for more drama-laced outfits with the launch of Medley’s closet July 25 and Singer’s on July 26. De Lesseps’ closet will be introduced at a later date.
Shoppers can expect to see labels like Diane von Furstenberg and Balenciaga as part of the 100+ item collection. Taste is subjective, and of course, there will be some who feel like the choices are worthy of a 911 call to the fashion police, but in the wise words of The Countess, “even Louis Vuitton makes mistakes.”
The launch is the latest in thredUP’s “Shop Her Closet” series, featuring Hollywood stars selling their clothes. Past donors have included Whitney Port and Rachel Lindsay of the Bachelorette.
