The 2013 SAG Awards red carpet was black and white and blue all over. Despite early predictions of bold color for the 2013 awards season, the overwhelming red carpet trend has been black, white, black combined with white (or vice versa) and a bit of blue.

January Jones, Claire Danes and Julianne Moore took the black-and-white road. Danes was striking in a black one-sleeve Givenchy gown that featured white geometric print details.
Game Change nominee Moore wore a white Chanel couture gown with the added interest of black floral designs on the skirt. And Mad Men star Jones’ black-and-white Prabal Gurung gown featured an unusual sheer white scarf/bib that framed her face.
Anne Hathaway, who won best supporting actress for her performance in Les Miserables, chose an edgy black Giambattista Valli couture gown with a sleeveless corseted tulle bodice and a full sheer skirt.

Other black-clad actresses included Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (in Zuhair Murad) and Glee star Naya Rivera in a sexy black Donna Karan Atelier gown with a provocative peek-a-boo sheer panel.
The Impossible nominee Naomi Watts wore a silver white strapless Marchesa gown, and Scandal star Kerry Washington chose a Rodarte white silk tulle and silver lace gown with a corseted bodice. Even Modern Family star Sofia Vergara wore a white satin gown from Donna Karan.

As for the blue notes, Amanda Seyfried (Les Miserables), Nicole Kidman (Hemingway & Gellhorn, The Paperboy) and Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook) took the honors for their respective Zac Posen, Vivienne Westwood and Dior navy gowns.
