On Wednesday, the tennis great introduced the Internet to Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., who was born Sept. 1 and weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces, on Instagram. Williams also noted in a post on Instagram Stories of her baby girl: “Grand Slam Titles: 1.” But that’s not all. Williams uploaded an adorable video on her website that tells the journey of her new bundle of joy.
The two-minute clip starts with a sonogram and the doctor telling Williams that she’s expecting and continues to capture behind-the-scenes moments of her pregnancy, including the time she won her 23rd grand slam title at the Australian Open and no one had a clue she was eight weeks pregnant. At one point, Williams can be heard saying, “We had a lot of complications, but look what we’ve got.” The must-watch video can be seen below.
Williams first announced she was expecting in April via a Snapchat post that included the caption “20 weeks,” indicating how far along she was in her pregnancy. It was later revealed that she accidentally pressed the wrong button and made the post public.
In June, Williams celebrated her pregnancy with a Vanity Fair cover, in which she stripped down for the magazine to reveal her baby bump, a la Demi Moore’s 1991 Vanity Fair cover.
Williams, 35, and Ohanian, 34, got engaged in December 2016. Following their announcement on Reddit, Williams shared a photo from the evening of the engagement on the Sneakers subreddit, giving a sneak peek of her massive rock.
