Today marks the kick-off of the third annual, month-long Make March Matter fundraising campaign to benefit the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), the nonprofit pediatric academic medical center founded in 1901. Earlier this week, Ellen DeGeneres surprised Jimmy Kimmel on her show by announcing that a room at CHLA has been named in honor of his son, Billy, who was born with congenital heart disease and treated at the hospital.

This year, over 80 partners — many in the fashion and beauty sectors — have signed up to help CHLA reach its $1 million goal by donating a percentage of sales or the proceeds of earmarked items to the cause. In other words, it’s an excuse to pick up that Jennifer Meyer necklace or Trina Turk frock you’ve been eying or to restock the Caudalie Overnight Renewal Cream you can’t live without, because you will help fund critical lifesaving care for pediatric patients.
In the mix are Sunset Plaza; fashion brands Trina Turk and Theory, the CUSP collection at Neiman Marcus and Rachel Zoe’s Box of Style; jewelers Jennifer Meyer, Kendra Scott and Jacquie Aiche; Cameron Silver’s vintage boutique Decades; the multi-brand women’s fashion store Intermix; T-shirt label Project Social T; footwear and accessories brand Calleen Cordero; and luxury online consignment shop LuxAnthropy.com (where you shop or sell your own gently-used designer pieces to benefit CHLA). In the beauty arena, participants include Larchmont Sanctuary Spa, beauty brands Caudalie and Chapstick, Le Labo fragrancesm and Cassandra Grey’s beauty business Violet Grey.
