Another New York City favorite — It-girl approved & Other Stories — is landing in the City of Angels.
H&M’s little sister line, which currently operates two brick-and-mortar spaces in NYC in addition to their online store, will make its way to the Golden State this fall with two brand new SoCal locations.
The first space at 370 Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills (currently occupied by The Gap) is scheduled to open just in time for the holidays. As reported last month, a second space will also open at the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
Thanks to collaborations with Lykke Li, Rachel Antonoff, Clare V and most recently Rodarte, the three-year-old brand already has quite the Hollywood following. A-list fans including Katy Perry, Dakota Fanning and Rowan Blanchard all turned out for the & Other Stories x Rodarte launch party at artist Elliot Hundley’s downtown L.A. loft. Not to mention, Selena Gomez was spotted rocking a couple pieces from the collection quite a few times during her most recent jaunt to Paris.
“Reaching Los Angeles is something all of us at Stories have been looking forward to for quite some time,” said managing director Samuel Fernstrom in a release. “It truly is the city of dreams, so we’re thrilled to have found this great location right in the heart of it.” Welcome to the Cali club.
Also coming to the SoCal scene this fall is Aritzia, another cool-girl brand with locations in New York as well as San Jose and San Francisco. The L.A. store will open later this year at the renovated Westfield Century City Mall.
