Allure Releases “Beauty of Diversity Issue” for April [Allure]
For its “Beauty of Diversity” April issue, Allure cast the latest It-girl models: Dilone, Imaan Hammam (who also nabbed a spot on Vogue’s model-filled March cover) and Aamito Lagum. Like the March issue of fellow Conde Nast publication Vogue, the ladies embraced beachside for the shoot, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. In the accompanying cover story, Allure spoke with 41 women of color (including Meaghan Markle, Padma Lakshmi and Zazie Beetz) about their relationship with their skin.
Selena Gomez Answers 73 Questions for Vogue [Vogue]
Vogue’s April cover girl Selena Gomez is the latest participant in the glossy’s infamous 73 Questions video series. The singer/actress, who opened up about her mental health issues in her cover story, dished on the mundane (her favorite dessert is chocolate cake) to the more cryptic — when asked what advice she’d give to her 15-year-old self, Gomez responded, “Go ahead and do it because you’re going to do it anyway.”

The former Vogue creative director espoused on her uniform of all black (“I’m a little older, I’m a little bit fatter, and black looks better on fatter, older people because it makes them look slim and young”) as well as “the real” Anna Wintour: “She’s incredibly warm and she’s a fantastic host. And she makes everybody — down to the smallest person — feel important and at home and things like that. So this other persona that other people seem to have about her is … it’s wrong.”
