Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner’s feminist newsletter, Lenny, has inked a deal with Hearst to begin running ads. Dunham made the announcement in her fifth newsletter, noting that though there will be ads, she and the rest of the Lenny team will still have full creative control. She said of the partnership, “We want Lenny to be a self-sustaining, kick-ass, women-run business for a long, long time. We want to continue to pay our authors and artists fairly and get our content to as many people as we possibly can. The resources afforded by this partnership simply allow Lenny to exist and to grow.” [CNN]
