Mecca of accessible fashions, Macy’s totally wants to hang out with the popular kids (aka the high-fashion crowd), but unfortunately it usually isn’t invited to the party (fashion week). So naturally, Macy’s decided to host its very own runway show during this year’s New York Fashion Week — at Madison Square Garden. The retailer announced Monday that “Macy’s Presents Fashion’s Front Row” will take place Sept. 17 and feature not only celebrity lines like Ryan Seacrest’s and Heidi Klum’s latest collections, but also dancing and stage performances. Tickets sales will directly benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the CFDA, and the entire event will be broadcast Sept. 23 on E! network. If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. [Fashionista]

Additional references to gender, including colored shelf lining, also would be removed, and the once-divided products would be sold under categories such as “Kids.” [Time]

Of a Kind, an indie etailer of — you guessed it — one-of-a-kind, limited-edition merchandise from emerging designers, was recently acquired by Bed, Bath & Beyond, a not-so- indie retailer known for selling discounted pillow sets and panini makers. Though the pairing might feel a little strange to loyal customers (cough, sellout, cough), co-founder Erica Cerulo said that Of a Kind will benefit from Bed, Bath & Beyond’s “resources, infrastructure and talent.” [Racked]
As counterintuitive as it may sound, Chrissy Teigen is a super-relatable supermodel. If you need proof, just watch the Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl fumble as a budding meteorologist for ABC13 Houston. Teigen posted the adorable video to Instagram with the caption, “Learned another job I can’t do.” It’s OK, Chrissy, we still love you. [Instagram]
