Naomi Campbell, Marc Jacobs Design Tee for World AIDS Day [V Magazine]
Naomi Campbell and Marc Jacobs are doing their part on World AIDS Day (Friday) by selling limited-edition tees the pair co-designed and donating the proceeds to AIDS research via UNAIDS. Appropriately enough, the black tee with hot pink text ($55) reads, “This is a shirt designed by Naomi Campbell and Marc Jacobs to raise funds for UNAIDS.” The shirts will be available at Marc Jacobs stores and online.
Donatella Versace to Be Honored By British Fashion Council With Icon Award [WWD]
Donatella Versace will be the recipient of this year’s Icon Award at the annual Fashion Awards, set to take place Monday in London. The award will celebrate her work as the creative director of Versace, as well as the accomplishments of her late brother Gianni Versace, who launched the label in 1978 and helmed the brand until his death in 1997. Stella McCartney also will be honored at the Fashion Awards for her work as an innovator in the industry.
Sia, MAC Join Forces for World AIDS Day [Instagram]
Sia, too, is doing her part on World AIDS Day. The singer has joined forces with MAC Cosmetics to launch her very own lipstick shade which will be available in early January. “Every single cent” of the price of the lipstick will be donated directly to the MAC AIDS Fund, which assists people directly affected by HIV/AIDS.
Shayne Olivier’s First Helmut Lang Collection Released [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Part one of Shayne Olivier’s first collection as creative director of Helmut Lang is being released Thursday, alongside a campaign photographed by Nicolai Howalt. The second installment of the Helmut Lang Seen by Shayne Olivier will land in stores and online in early February. Olivier, founder of Hood by Air, earned praise from critics and celebrity fans for his unconventional runway show in September, where he showcased a collection deemed a “sex- and street-filled creativity glut” by The Hollywood Reporter’s Booth Moore.
The Webster Founder Launches Ready-to-Wear Collection [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Laure Heriard Dubreuil — founder of Miami’s iconic The Webster boutique, which has since expanded to open locations in South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California; New York City; and elsewhere — on Thursday launched her own ready-to-wear line called LHD. The debut collection is called The Miami Collection for its bright, colorful prints and beachy aesthetic. Also available is a capsule jewelry collection designed in collaboration with Aurelie Bidermann. The pieces are now available online as well as in Webster boutiques; prices range from $45 for a bracelet to $895 for a maxi dress.
