Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts (who prefer the porch) and Alec Baldwin and new fiancee Hilaria Thomas (the front room) have stopped by for a crispy wood-oven pizza or its famous free-range chicken.

Three years in, The Living Room at The Maidstone Hotel continues to draw the chic fashion set as well as names like Katie Couric and Steven Spielberg. Featuring work by local artists and a slow-food philosophy, it’s an eclectic hangout, the perfect place to enjoy Scandinavian-tinged meals or have late-night drinks (try the Stockholmapolitan with Absolut Citron and lingonberry).

Owner Gabby Karan, daughter of Donna, knows how to draw a crowd, making reservations tough at the Sag Harbor location. Her new Southampton spot is walk-up only, so be prepared to wait to savor the pappardelle with bay scallops. “Eating their simple spaghetti while sitting on the patio in Sag Harbor, without a tourist in sight, makes this the ultimate chill spot,” says music industry veteran Charlie Walk.

After opening last summer at the newly renovated Capri hotel, Nobu drew the likes of Matt Lauer and Howard and Beth Ostrosky Stern looking to get their fix of black miso cod. The relaxed tan-on-white design is a sharp contrast to its dark NYC location.

This eatery that feels like a club is taking the success of its Meatpacking District brasserie in Manhattan to the beach. Opening May 18, it’s expected to replicate the original’s raucous, champagne-fueled brunches. “It’s a super-fun atmosphere with divine food,” says Gossip Girl’s Kelly Rutherford.
Crow’s Nest Inn & Restaurant
4 Old West Lake Drive, Montauk
This fisherman’s shack, now owned by legendary hotelier Sean MacPherson, is ready to officially unveil its renovated cottage-style rooms and a menu focused on local catch.
Zum Schneider MTK
4 S. Elmwood Ave., Montauk
Beer gardens have been sprouting up all over the city, and one of the most popular hangs in which to enjoy a stein is Zum Schneider. It’s opening a Montauk outpost in early summer. The bierhaus will have a full bar and stay open year-round.
