UTA’s Michael Conway Weds, Kimberlin Belloni Joins Principato-Young Entertainment: Hitched, Hatched, Hired

WALK OF FAME

Jane Lynch will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Sept. 4. “I’ve known this was going to happen for over a year, and it still blows my mind,” says the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actress. “I am deeply honored and humbled to join the ranks of stars who will forever shine on the streets of Hollywood.” Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy will speak at the ceremony.

WEDDINGS

Ian Richter, a franchise development executive at DreamWorks Animation, married Julia Michelson, associate marketing manager on the games global-brand team at Mattel, on Aug. 10 at the Jonathan Club in Santa Monica. The newlyweds honeymooned in Australia’s Hunter Valley and at the Great Barrier Reef.

Alexandra Glazer, a film publicist at Block-Korenbrot, married real estate executive Joshua Meltzer on Aug. 15 at Il Cielo in Beverly Hills. The newlyweds celebrated with family and friends during a cocktail reception Aug. 17 at a private home in Beverly Hills. An East Coast ceremony is planned for Sept. 12 in New York. The couple pre-honeymooned this summer in the south of France and Paris.

Jim Jimirro, founding president of Disney Channel, married Ajchara Kaewthep on Aug. 3 at Westwood Presbyterian Church. The couple, who honeymooned in Thailand, also will celebrate at Hotel Bel-Air in October.

Michael Conway, chief administrative officer at UTA, married paralegal Jim Manzano on July 3 during a small ceremony in Beverly Hills. The couple, who became engaged in January, will honeymoon in December in Hawaii.

NBC’s Today anchor Jenna Wolfe and NBC News foreign correspondent Stephanie Gosk welcomed daughter Harper Estelle Wolfeld Gosk on Aug. 21.

DEATHS

British journalist David Frost, whose 1977 TV interviews with former President Richard Nixon spawned a hit play and the Oscar-nominated film Frost/ Nixon, died Aug. 31. He was 74.

Gilbert Taylor, the British cinematographer who shot Star Wars for George Lucas and Dr. Strangelove for Stanley Kubrick, died Aug. 23. He was 99.

One Talent Management CEO J.J. Harris, who represented such clients as Kevin Costner, Charlize Theron and Drew Barrymore, died Aug. 30 at her home in Beverly Hills. She was 62.

Entertainment attorney Irwin Russell, who represented Michael Eisner, Jim Henson and Theodor Geisel, died Aug. 23 of complications related to leukemia. He was 87.

Norman Winter, a music publicist who represented Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, Elton John and Garth Brooks, died Aug. 22 in Las Vegas of complications from Lewy body disease. He was believed to be in his 80s.
