VH1 Resurrrects ANTM [THR]
VH1 has saved America’s Next Top Model from the grave. The show, previously on The CW, will air its 23rd season on VH1, but without Tyra Banks playing host and judge. She will instead serve as the show’s executive producer, noting that her other business endeavors (including her new beauty venture) will be her main focus. There is currently no premiere date for the newest season, which will be shot in New York.

No doubt the scales were tipped by Zac Posen’s show, which not only featured a majority of black models, but also launched the Black Models Matter campaign with tote bags by Ashley Crew. Regardless, it’s a step in the right direction.

Following the incident, the Uganda-native reposted the photo on her own account with the caption, “My lips giving you sleepless nights.” MAC as well as Ohne Titel designer Alexa Adams and Flora Gill have also spoken up in the model’s defense.
