“It’s an inspiring city full of incredible talent,” says The Wall Group founder Brooke Wall of Paris, where the management company has just opened an office.
“The effortlessly chic Parisian woman has long been a driving force in the global fashion and beauty industries,” she adds. Wall, who founded the company in 2000, went on to note that though The Wall Group has always had a presence in Paris, the demand for services had risen to a level that made sense for the company to “have boots on the ground.”
“We’ve observed a steadily growing need for stylists and beauty artists, especially as the frequency of and attention on international red carpets, film festivals and fashion presentations intensifies,” she continued.
With offices in New York, Los Angeles and London (which opened in 2016), The Wall Group’s roster already includes an impressive list of names, with stylists like Karla Welch (Justin Bieber, Ruth Negga, Lorde, Tracee Ellis Ross), hairstylists like Sarah Potempa (Emily Blunt, Margot Robbie, Reese Witherspoon) and makeup artists including Monika Blunder (Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Garner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) on board.
And the agency already has a noteworthy number of Paris-based clients, including world-renowned colorist Christophe Robin (Tilda Swinton, Catherine Deneuve), stylist Camille Seydoux (Adele Exarchopoulos) and makeup artist Christophe Danchaud (Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Kristen Stewart, Lily Rose Depp).
“We’re seeing a lot of significant talent emerge from Paris right now, and we offer a unique, 360-degree style of management that’s unique for them in the European market,” says Wall. “We believe the most successful artists have multifaceted representation, especially in a digitally driven, global marketplace, and we’re proud to be able to offer that within The Wall Group and through our partners in WME and IMG.” (The Wall Group was acquired by WME | IMG in 2015.)
“It’s no longer booking a job and moving onto the next,” she says of image makers behind some of Hollywood’s most visible A-listers. “If you want to produce a TV series, publish a book, create a lecture series, understand VC [venture capital] financing, work in film, launch a Facebook or YouTube series, or anything else at the intersection of fashion and entertainment, we can help.”
