Can’t keep up with what’s been going on in the social media world? Fret not. Here, a gathering of what the stars have been up to this week on social media.
Nicole Kidman’s Red Lip
Actress Nicole Kidman rocked a striking red lip and glowing skin at the London Film Festival premiere of Lion, which sparked a mad rush for beauty-philes to find the exact same lipstick. Kidman was dressed to the nines in an Armani Prive gown, and the red lip — Armani’s signature hue — was the perfect complement to the velvet dress. On Instagram, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury listed products from her eponymous line that she used on Kidman: Mini Miracle Eye Wand in Shade 2, Luxury Palette in the Rock Chick and Matte Revolution lipstick in Red Carpet Red, finished off with Tilbury’s Scent of a Dream fragrance.
By painting one of his nails, Zac Efron joined the Polished Man social media movement this week. Men raised awareness against the physical and sexual abuse of children by posting and tagging a photo of their painted nail. According to the Polished Man site, “1 in 5 children fall victim to physical and sexual abuse by the age of 18.” Efron joins other #NailtoEndit participants such as Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth, James Marsden and more. As of today, the campaign has raised over $500,000.
If Dior’s “We Should All Be Feminists” shirt is out of your budget, check out Rebel Soul Collective’s feminist tees. Based in Los Angeles, Rebel Soul Collective is still under the radar, though it recently made a cameo on Clare Vivier’s Instagram. Snag one before everyone else does!
Stranger Things Babies
Everyone from Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere to John Mayer has professed their love for the Stranger Things kids — the troupe is a cultural phenomenon. Here’s to hoping Stranger Things babies become a thing this Halloween because this is really, really cute.
Fashion Illustrator du Jour
The fashion illustrators of Instagram need some sort of guild. There are so many artists, and it’s hard to keep up with who the “It” girl or guy is at the moment. Kelly Beeman, a fashion illustrator and artist based in NYC, is currently racking up the likes from top publications and editors. The self-taught artist’s work includes single-line contour drawings and expressive, fully rendered watercolor paintings. She counts designers J.W.Anderson, Loewe, Tory Burch and Elie Saab as fans.
