The Casting Society of America on Monday announced film nominees for its annual awards competition, breaking down films into independent, big- and low-budget categories.
CSA members will vote on the nominees through Jan. 8, and winners will be revealed Jan. 21 at the 31st Annual Artios Awards ceremonies at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles and the Hard Rock Cafe in New York.
Big-budget dramas Bridge of Spies, Fury Road, Spotlight, Force Awakens and Straight Outta Compton join comedy nominees that include The Big Short, The Intern, Joy, Sisters and Tomorrowland. Indie pics recognized include Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, Brooklyn, Carol, The Danish Girl, Room and Trumbo.
The CSA will also honor Steve Jobs director Danny Boyle with its career achievement award, as well as special honors for The Good Wife writers Michelle and Robert King and Into the Woods casting director Bernard Telsey.
Previous Artios Award winners include 12 Years a Slave, Boyhood and The Wolf of Wall Street. Eligibility for film nominees is Jan. 1, 2015, through Dec. 31, 2015. See the full list of nominees below:
