'Hidden Figures,' 'La La Land,' 'Rogue One' Among Art Directors Guild Award Nominees
After a tie in voting, six films, including 'Fences' and 'Jackie,' are nominated for a period feature film.

The Art Directors Guild on Thursday announced the nominees for its 21st annual Excellence in Production Design Awards, which will be held Feb. 11 at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood and Highland.
The guild recognizes work in three motion picture categories: period, fantasy and contemporary film. As a result of a tie in the voting, there are six nominees in the category for a period film: Cafe Society; Fences; Hacksaw Ridge; Hail, Caesar!; Hidden Figures; and Jackie.
The nominees for a fantasy film include Arrival, Doctor Strange, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Passengers and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
In the category of contemporary film, the ADG nominated Hell or High Water, La La Land, Lion, Manchester by the Sea and Nocturnal Animals.
In television, as the result of another tie in voting, six contenders were nominated in the category for a variety, reality or competition series: American Grit, Portlandia, Saturday Night Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Voice.
