Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them earned three nominations, leading the feature competition of the Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS) Awards, Feb. 19 at The Novo by Microsoft at L.A. Live.
Earning two apiece in features were La La Land, Nocturnal Animals, Zoolander 2, Doctor Strange, Hail, Caesar!, Loving and Suicide Squad.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has already released its shortlist for the makeup and hair styling category. That list includes aforementioned Hail, Caesar! and Suicide Squad; Deadpool, Florence Foster Jenkins and Star Trek Beyond, which earned one MUAHS nomination apiece; and The Dressmaker and A Man Called Ove.
On Tuesday, BAFTA nominated Doctor Strange, Florence Foster Jenkins, Hacksaw Ridge, Nocturnal Animals and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in the category.
In all, MUAHS awards will be presented in 23 categories honoring make-up artists and hair stylists in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater. The complete list of nominees follows.
