Welcome to The Bachelor version of The Hollywood Reporter's Power Rankings. Each week, THR's Bachelor experts will be tuning into the romantic connections and dramatic shenanigans taking place on season 21 of the long-running ABC franchise. In an effort to cater to viewers who opt out of show spoilers, these rankings are based on opinions and observations week-by-week.
Nick Viall's big secret is out, and while it doesn't seem like it will cost him any of his relationships, he might want to prepare for another smack across the face next week.
The "most controversial ever" Bachelor hopped from one dramatic group date to another as he continued to get to know the 22 women left vying for his final rose on Monday night. Early villain Corinne blossomed into her true thorny potential when she went topless during her wedding photoshoot with Nick. (Some of her best quotes of the night: "No one has ever held my boobs like that" and "I've never been a bridesmaid. I think I was just a natural born bride.") Despite her constant interruptions and overly aggressive style, a lusting Nick awarded her with the group rose.

Nick did, however, call back his sensitive side during his one-on-one date with Danielle M., as the neonatal nurse from Nashville opened up about the death of her former fiance.
But on the second group date, Liz, his secret one-night stand from Bachelor in Paradise couple Jade and Tanner's wedding, announced details of their past in front of five of Nick's other contestants. During an exercise where each woman was tasked with acting out a break-up scene with Nick — causing Josephine to plant a serious slap on the 36-year-old — Liz dumped Nick in a way that felt a little too real.
The episode ended with a "To be continued" after Nick made his decision on whether to keep Liz around, and finally let the rest of the women in on their history.
See how all of Nick's remaining women stack up after the second episode below and check back in every Monday for THR's Power Rankings. Share your comments below.

Danielle M., 31, neonatal nurse from Nashville, TN
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Nick should send Danielle a Thank You card for being the only woman during Monday's episode to show viewers his sweet side. After a helicopter ride, jacuzzi cuddles on a yacht and a heart-to-heart conversation, the Bachelor gave the Wisconsin-born neonatal nurse a rose on their one-on-one date, calling it “the easiest decision” he’s made yet. Across the dinner table, the 31-year-old opened up about the death of her former fiance and being the one to discover his body after a drug overdose. Nick did what he does best and listened to her account before assuring her that he only admires her more after the heartfelt chat.
Danielle could have some fire up her sleeve — her introduction involved Nick licking maple syrup off her finger — but her early choice to open up to Nick signals that she's here to connect beyond a sexual level, challenging Nick to take the process seriously. As opposed to Corinne, who brings out the bad boy side in Nick. (More on that below.)
-
Corinne, 24, business owner from Miami, FL
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Cue Corinne, the interrupter and one-upper. While her behavior hardly seems fitting enough to run a multi-million dollar company let alone rank No. 2 on this list, there is no doubt that Nick is drawn to the 24-year-old with a nanny. If you're keeping tally (and surely Corinne is), so far she's been Nick's first kiss, first group date winner and first group date rose. The pair now even have a topless wedding photoshoot to boot.
Corinne is confident (like Nick's ex Kaitlyn Bristowe) and a go-getter (like Nick's other ex Andi Dorfman), and while she might have had a little too much champagne, she still left Nick wanting more. “No one has ever held my boobs like that. No one ever will," she said of her topless pool session with Nick. But Corinne flung her top off to compete with a topless Brittany and princess-like Taylor, and jealous is a trait Nick will surely swim away from, eventually. Right?
In the words of Corinne: “I was the first to kiss him and my name was first on the date card. I'm just full of number ones, so it's better than being number two… or going number two.”
-
Taylor, 23, mental health counselor from Seattle, WA
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Many of the Bachelor women talk about "the sparks," but the chemistry between Taylor and Nick during their engagement photoshoot was actually off the charts. In her princess gown, the pair were a picturesque bride and groom as they locked eyes and lips for the photographer.
But these two might be better actors than anyone realizes, as their chemistry fell flat once the spotlight dimmed. During the second half of the group date, the pair sat far apart during their one-on-one time — a stark contrast from his makeouts that evening with women like Corinne and Lacey. Still, the 23-year-old (yes, she’s 13 years younger than Nick) is convinced Nick’s her man, telling the camera, “We didn't kiss, but it was there in like the eyeballs. Maybe his heart's coming to me and my brain. ‘Cause he likes it." Taylor’s greatest achievement of the night was surviving serious beef with Corinne. The two kept interrupting each other’s time, setting off an aggressive, slurred monologue from a very drunk Corinne (yes, making for great TV).
-
Christen, 25, wedding videographer from Tulsa, OK
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC It’s hard not to like Christen after Monday night. She walked a hard line gracefully when Liz, confiding in her as a friend, told her about her history with Nick. Not only did she keep the secret from the other women, she came across as honest and genuine when she filled Nick in on what she knew. When the women pressed her about what happened, she asserted, "It's not my relationship. So it's not my business to tell." It was clear that Nick appreciated her honesty, but everything with Liz overshadowed any further connection between these two. Still, if true love is built on friendship, these two could be saying the vows that belong to a TV wedding one day: "I married my best friend."
Fun fact: The Oklahoman has yet to share with Nick that she's waiting to have sex until marriage.
-
Vanessa, 29, special education teacher from Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Kudos to Vanessa for keeping it real. While some of the women have been instantly enamored by Nick (cough, Corinne, cough), the Canadian is rightfully skeptical about his true intentions. The 29-year-old, who playfully dressed up as an ‘80s bride on the group date, gave the Bachelor a hard time for messing around with Corinne and kissing just about every girl back-to-back. “It makes me question whether Nick is looking to just have a good time or is he actually really serious about finding a wife,” the special education teacher expressed in her private interview. And based on next week’s preview, it doesn’t seem like she’s toning it down: “Are you looking for a wife or are you looking for someone to f— around with?” she asks Nick.
We like her, so we hope Nick does too. #TeamVanessa.
-
Rachel, 31, attorney from Dallas, TX
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC After slaying the season premiere, first impression rose-scoring Rachel was a blip in the second episode since she didn't land on one of Nick's date cards. But it's likely Nick felt secure enough in this relationship to skip a date this week and that there will be more Nick and Rachel to come.
-
Jaimi, 28, chef from New Orleans, LA
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Jaimi gave herself a catchphrase Monday night: “No shame in my game.” The New Orleans chef certainly intrigued Nick, who we know finds honesty to be a sexy trait, when she revealed that she had an ex-girlfriend in the past. Nick actually blushed when he asked if he had competition with the women in the house.
-
Danielle L., 27, small business owner from Los Angeles, CA
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Nick is clearly attracted to Danielle, as he hasn't stopped staring at her since she was first out of the night one limos. The L.A. beauty made out with Nick at the pretend altar and showed no restraints in their public display of affection, so she seems bound to stick around for a few more weeks.
-
Raven, 25, fashion boutique owner from Hoxie, AR
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Raven hasn’t made too much progress with Nick so far, but this Arkansas’ small-town girl is already starting to win over Bachelor Nation. The American sweetheart tells it like it is, owning one of the best lines of the night after Nick’s inappropriate behavior with Corinne: “If Nick likes someone who is just leading with their sexuality, no wonder it’s his fourth time. That's really mean, but it's true.”
-
Alexis, 23, aspiring dolphin trainer from Secaucus, NJ
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Alexis, a.k.a Dolphin-Shark, emerged from being the gag of night one to show more of her true fins (or gills?) on week two. In actuality, she's quirky and the joke seems to fit her sense of humor. From drinking alcohol while wearing a fake pregnant belly during her shotgun wedding photoshoot to celebrating the anniversary of her fake boobs, the New Jersey native has dominated #TheBachelor Twittersphere with her silly antics. Nick seems to like girls who put themselves out there, but Alexis (so far) seems to be more of a funny friend. At least she's keeping things entertaining.
-
Josephine, 24, registered nurse from Santa Cruz, CA
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Sure, that's one way to do it! Josephine made her first mark on Nick when she quite forcefully slapped him across the face during their break-up performance. At least by going all out the Californian is building a reputation beyond "awkward hot dog girl.”
-
Brittany, 26, travel nurse from Santa Monica, CA
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Brittany showed some balls this week (and we’re not talking about the kind Jaimi wore in her nose on night one.) The Californian — unlike Corinne — was tasked with having a topless costume and rocked the challenge, showing up to the photoshoot as the Eve to Nick's Adam. Wearing just a little leaf bikini bottom, the 26-year-old posed with an almost naked Nick, while she stole some kisses and even brushed Nick’s… leaf. She made Corinne jealous enough to go "bare bosom" to "bare bosom," which means the frontrunner sees her as competition.
-
Lacey, 25, digital marketing manager from Manhattan, NY
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Lacey had us at "Your kiss tastes like Danielle.” As the bridesmaid-but-never-the-bride role in the photoshoot, the New Yorker fell victim to some sloppy seconds when she took it upon herself to plant one on Nick. After Corinne snagged the rose, she asked during her private interview, “What if I had taken my shirt off. Would I have gotten the rose?” That's when she lost us.
-
Hailey, 23, photographer from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Despite getting a little lost in the crowd during the season premiere, Hailey rocked it this week — literally — during her rock 'n' roll wedding photoshoot with Nick. The Bachelor made his feelings for the 23-year-old public when he grabbed her hands and put them on his butt in front of the other women. And later, Hailey became even more likeable when she expressed her feelings about Corinne’s boob move: “My family would kill me if I did that. I'd kill myself, first of all.”
-
Sarah, 26, grade school teacher from Newport Beach, CA
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Though small, Sarah did take a step forward this week in wooing Mr. Viall. On the first group date, the two showed their silly sides when they posed as an eloped couple — and spanking was involved.
-
Astrid, 26, plastic surgery office manager from Tampa, FL
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Props to Astrid for at least scoring a date this week, but the Floridian failed at taking advantage of it.
-
Kristina, 24, dental hygienist from Lexington, KY
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Two weeks in, Kristina does not appear to be catching Nick’s attention. He seems to find her accent cute, but beyond that, Nick doesn't seem smitten with this Russian romance. She also cried on night one.
-
Jasmine G., 29, pro basketball dancer from San Francisco, CA
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Jasmine G. might be wearing out her welcome. The dancer has been aggressive since night one, but this week she took it to the next level when she stole a kiss from Nick. And we do mean stole; Nick didn’t look too happy about smooching back. The 29-year-old avoided a second tearful breakdown, but a breakup could be just around the corner.
-
Elizabeth, 24, marketing manager from Dallas, TX
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Elizabeth took her role as a bridesmaid too seriously when the Texan fell to the wayside and scored little time with Nick on the first group date.
-
Dominique, 25, restaurant server from Los Angeles, CA
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Dominique was dateless this week, so it’s hard to tell if love is on the menu for this restaurant server.
-
Whitney, 25, Pilates instructor from Chanhassen, MN
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Whitney, who?
-
Elizabeth "Liz," 29, doula from Las Vegas, NV
Image Credit: Mitch Haaseth Girl, bye. Nick sent Liz packing in the first impromptu dumping of the season after his former one-night-stand struggled, a lot, when it came time to explain why she came on the show. As Nick puts it: “Part of me wants to find a reason to keep Liz around, but the more I talk to Liz, the less she makes sense."
Earlier on the second group date, Liz passively shared their dating history in front of the other women which made Nick feel incredibly uncomfortable (“I’m living my nightmare,” he said). But the Bachelor gave Liz one last chance to defend herself for never getting his number, despite sharing mutual friends — and clearly following him on Twitter (just send a DM) — and only seeking him out once he became the bachelor. Ultimately, Nick asked himself, “Is she using our past relationship for an excuse to be on TV?” and then answered his own question by breaking up with her. “I just don't think we have a future. I think it's best for both of us if I say goodbye tonight,” he told her. Since the episode ended abruptly after this dramatic breakup, we’ll have to wait and see how the other contestants react to their no longer hidden history — but the previews say: Drama!
-
Lauren, 30, law school graduate from Naples, FL
Image Credit: ABC Lauren's introduction likely did her in when she combined her and Nick's last names (Viall and Hussie) to say that together they are a "disgusting slut." But she offered words of encouragement upon her bowing out: “I need to start finding guys who see my worth." Preach.
-
Angela, 26, model from Greenville, SC
Image Credit: ABC That awkward moment when Angela said, “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t you” and then got kicked off… This Sex and the City fan just didn't benefit from Nick's supersized group of 30 women.
-
Briana, 28, surgical unit nurse from Salt Lake City, UT
Image Credit: ABC Briana took the concept of listening to the heart a tad too far with the stethoscope.
-
Olivia, 25, apparel sales representative from Anchorage, AK
Image Credit: ABC Eskimo kisses weren't enough to keep Nick around but at least the Alaska native received a genuine goodbye from the Bachelor on her walk out.
-
Ida Marie, 23, sales manager from Harlingen, TX
Image Credit: ABC Ida Marie seemed to wow Nick on first glance, and he even caught her trust-fall, but the 23-year-old seemed to fade to the background once inside the house.
-
Jasmine B., 25, flight attendant from Tacoma, WA
Image Credit: ABC A sad victim of the red dress syndrome, who simply did not stand out.
-
Michelle, 24, food truck owner from Los Angeles, CA
Image Credit: ABC The best thing to come out of Michelle’s 15 seconds of fame was her Beyonce Lemonade reference. The Beyhive is proud.
-
Susannah, 26, account manager from San Diego, CA
Image Credit: ABC Susannah was Nick's first beard massage, but her inviting pass ("There's more where that came from…") wasn't enough to leave Nick wanting more.
