Baywatch, the film reboot slated for May 2017, has relied heavily on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Instagram feed to get its news out to clamoring fans. 

And no wonder — with 49.9 million followers on Instagram alone (10.1 million on Twitter), Johnson's social media following is powerful and his messages are immediate. He's announced casting decisions through Instagram photos and revealed behind-the-scenes shots for the past nine weeks while he, Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Hannibal Buress work to turn the beloved TV series (that ran from 1989-2001) into a summer blockbuster.
