BET Awards: Beyonce Tops Nominations With 7

Bruno Mars has five noms, while Beyonce and sister Solange will compete head-to-head in three categories.

Beyonce leads the list of nominees for the 2017 BET Awards, airing live Sunday, June 25, from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Bruno Mars follows Beyonce with five nominations, followed by Chance the Rapper, Solange (who also happens to be Beyonce's sister) and Migos with four apiece.

Beyonce is up for album of the year for Lemonade, where she will vie with Bruno Mars for 24K Magic, J. Cole for 4 Your Eyez Only, Solange for A Seat at the Table and Chance the Rapper for Coloring Book.

Beyonce and Solange also will compete in the category of best female R&B/pop artist and video of the year.

A total of 21 awards will be handed out to artists, entertainers and athletes. Nominations are chosen by BET's Voting Academy, which consists of individuals working in television, film, music, social media, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations and the creative arts.
