The 2017 horror hit, based on Stephen King's 1986 novel, took over the box office this fall, and Pennywise the Clown costumes are sure to take over this Halloween. Steer clear of the sewers.

  • Star Wars

In preparation for December's The Last Jedi release, channel the Force and become Daisy Ridley's Rey this Oct. 31.

  • Star Wars

Darth Vader's grandson, Kylo Ren, is the newest Star Wars villain and will be featured again in this year's The Last Jedi. If this is your Halloween costume of choice, you may need to brush up on your light saber skills before the holiday.

A classic part of the Star Wars franchise, the stormtrooper costume is always a Halloween party favorite and is even more relevant now with the upcoming film.

  • Game of Thrones

The Queen of Dragons was a very hot topic all summer with season 7 of Game of Thrones, and the white wig is sure to be a favorite this Halloween. The Netflix hit about women's wrestling in the 1980s gives you a comfortable costume option with leotard and leggings.

  • Aladdin

The Disney classic — which is being remade as a live-action movie musical — allows for a great couple's costume, or just for anyone who wants to spend the night flying around on a magic carpet.

  • Aladdin

Twenty-five years after the film's release, the Disney princess is still a classic and lets you get in touch with your magical side.
