Viewers who were left craving color and romance after the Golden Globes Time’s Up red-carpet blackout were rewarded with a visual fashion feast at Thursday night’s Critic’s Choice Awards.

Hosted by Olivia Munn, who wore a floral Monique Lhuillier pantsuit, a red crystal necklace-embroidered Prada sheath and more on-stage, the awards honored Gal Gadot with the #SeeHer award, Big Little Lies, Nicole Kidman, Gary Oldman and more.

After actresses donned all-black at the Golden Globes as a visual symbol of solidarity for the #MeToo movement and gender equality, they went in another direction last night, with plenty of lace, all-white looks and sweet (but not necessarily sexy) details, including the heart-shaped cutout on Greta Gerwig’s white Fendi stunner. Here, the best-dressed men and women.

  • Nicole Kidman

Best actress winner Nicole Kidman was pretty in pink lace in a Valentino gown with sheer long sleeves that managed to look both sweet and powerful.

  • Allison Janney

Allison Janney, who won an award for I, Tonya, also made a strong statement with color, choosing a long-sleeve, cobalt blue, geometric beaded fitted gown from the Dubai based designer, Michael Cinco.

  • Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel was a collage of chic in Oscar de la Renta’s spring 2018 black tulle dress with ruby and spinel bonded laser cut nappa leather and a signature collage print lace-up bodysuit.

  • Reese Witherspoon

Prada made a strong showing at the awards, dressing Reese Witherspoon in a black cady dress accented with a plunging neckline and all-over crystal and sequin detail. The short length showed off a pair of killer Roger Vivier feather swirl sandals.

  • Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot also wore Prada. The #SeeHer Award winner’s hematite pleated tulle gown with all-over silver sequin embroidery and black embroidered belt was superhero-stylish.

  • Kate Bosworth

Kate Bosworth chose up-and-coming L.A. label Brock to make a statement in white. The “Duma” lace dress from the label’s pre-fall collection reinvents the lace peplum detail in an avant-garde way.

  • Tatiana Maslany

Tatiana Maslany was flying her fashion colors in a vivid red sequin Mary Katrantzou dress with rainbow sleeves, Sophia Webster glitter sandals and colorful Borgioni and Djula ear cuffs.

  • Timothee Chalamet

Timothee Chalamet chose a suit with piping details by American designer Thom Browne, who pushes the envelope for menswear with shorter hem pants and sleeves.

  • Jessica Chastain

It was refreshing to see Jessica Chastain switch things up from her tried-and-true, red-carpet column silhouette, and go with an emerald green, silk crepe halter neck gown with a full skirt and keyhole cutout.

  • Saoirse Ronan

With her pale complexion and light blonde hair, Saoirse Ronan looked divine in a Michael Kors draped, crystal embroidered gown in an intriguing blush-putty hue.

  • Armie Hammer

Daring dresser Armie Hammer looked dashing in a Ralph Lauren shawl collar tuxedo in black corduroy, yes, corduroy.

  • Greta Gerwig

Lady Bird Golden Globe winner Greta Gerwig’s pre-fall Fendi white sweetheart gown cemented her persona as sweetheart of awards season. Her swept-up hairstyle and subtle topaz earrings by Fernando Jorge were just the right touches.

  • Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie’s custom Ralph & Russo white silk crepe pencil dress adorned with ostrich feathers was movie star glam at its best.

  • Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Delpozo pink and neon yellow silk tulle asymmetrical gown proved sweet can be done with an edge.

  • Norman Reedus

Norman Reedus redefined tuxedo dressing with his Ermenegildo Zegna Couture black printed, shawl color jacket and trousers, worn with a modern-looking rollneck top.
