The marketing campaigns for Deadpool and Outcast were among the winners Thursday night at the 45th annual Clio Key Arts Awards.
The awards, which were handed out at a ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and hosted by Amy Sedaris, honor creative communications across the entertainment industry in film, TV and gaming. The Grand Clio Key Art winners "represent the creative teams producing the best work and helping to advance the industry to the next stage. The work represents the ways in which filmmakers, television producers, game developers, graphic artists, and many other creatives are connecting and engaging with audiences."
20th Century Fox's Deadpool won two Grand Clio Key Art Awards, including best integrated campaign and best out of home for its emoji billboard. Outcast, which airs on Cinemax in the U.S. and is distributed internationally by Fox Networks Group, also won two Grand Clio Key Art Awards, including one in the digital category for its interactive trailer and another in the events/experiential category.
Also honored at the event (co-sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter) for a second year were agency, studio, television network and game publisher "Of the Year" winners. These honors are presented to the advertising agency, film studio, television network and game publisher that received the most overall Clio Key Art statue points for entries submitted across all medium types. This year's winners are:
Agency of the Year: Aspect
Game Publisher of the Year: Microsoft
Studio of the Year: 20th Century Fox
Television Network of the Year: FX
"For the last 45 years, Clio Key Art has led the conversation on what it means to be at the top of the creative communication business," said Nicole Purcell, president of Clio. "While this industry continues to evolve, and Clio Key Art has grown to reflect that, the innovative and imaginative work we receive remains the same. We are proud to honor the artists, executives and agencies producing world-class work each and every year."
