Dwayne Johnson, Nina Dobrev Crown Top Actors Social Media Ranking
Dobrev reaches No. 2 on the chart, which ranks the most popular actors based on data from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, her highest rank yet.

Dwayne Johnson returns to No. 1 on The Hollywood Reporter’s Top Actors chart, reigning for an 11th week, while Nina Dobrev blasts back into the top 10 at No. 2 on the ranking dated Sept. 27.
The Top Actors chart is a ranking of the most popular actors on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart’s methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. The latest tracking week ended Sept. 19.
Also moving into the top 10 -- along with Dobrev (who had previously risen as high as No. 8) -- are Sofia Vergara (No. 7, reaching the top 10 for the first time), Vin Diesel (No. 8) and Rowan Atkinson (No. 9). Bumped out of the top 10: Priyanka Chopra, Tom Holland, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson.
See the top 10 below (and for the full 25-position list, check out The Hollywood Reporter’s issue dated Sept. 27), and for more charts on The Hollywood Reporter, check out the Top Comedians and Top TV Personalities charts.

A chief driver of Dobrev’s 6 million Instagram favorites (up 38 percent) was a post of her new Tesla electric car, which was wrapped in black to reflect the actress’ love of the Batman films. She wrote that she had “dreamed of having my own batmobile.”
