No gown? No problem. On Sunday night, the goddesses of television rewrote the rules of the red carpet by wearing cocktail-length dresses, jumpsuits, even white tails.

    Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown, a face of Calvin Klein By Appointment, was a modern-day princess in a white tulle, tea-length gown with a kicky white bandana belt by the American house’s designer Raf Simons.

    Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss wore a pastel pink strapless, just-below-the-knee dress by Nepalese-American designer Prabal Gurung, and an ACLU ribbon on her clutch. Gurung said, of Moss, “She is a beautiful representation of our brand ideals on the inside and out. For her look tonight, we worked closely with the incredible stylist Karla Welch, who has been a longtime friend and supporter. The Handmaid's Tale tells the story of a woman's strength in a dark world through resistance. Tonight, we wanted Elisabeth's strength as a woman and an actress to shine through embracing her femininity.”
