Did you treat yourself with anything special to celebrate? Bottle of cheap Prosecco and Doritos. The perfect combination.

Have you heard from any fellow actors or anyone else in the industry about your work that surprised you? I got an amazing, amazing email from Hugh Jackman a few weeks back which blew my mind. Then, a couple of weeks later, we are nominated in the same category. Crazy!

How would your character do in quarantine? Connell would be fine through quarantine. Lots of reading.

Biggest quarantine splurge? A new pair of Ray Bans.

  • Jovan Adepo

Did you treat yourself with anything special to celebrate? I went to the beach late at night, it was probably like around 11, and I got a huge bottle of champagne.

Have you heard from any fellow actors or anyone else in the industry about your work that surprised you? Some of my friends from The Leftovers like Carrie Coon and Justin [Theroux]. They just said, “these are the types of roles that you want to continue to pursue as your career goes on, and as you continue to search for like those strong narratives and those strong complex characters, those are the type of roles that kind of stay in the hearts and minds of audiences.”

The moment you’d realized your character/show had become a breakout? You've got to remember, even though Hooded Justice was originally a part of the Watchmen cannon, he was a periphery character. So it was really cool to see people see a character that's always been kind of like an unknown and turn him into somebody that people really cared about. The day after the episode aired, people were like, "Yo, Hooded Justice is my favorite superhero!"

How would your character do in quarantine? He's always been able to take care of himself; he's been doing it since he was a child. So I feel like he would do okay as far as spending time with himself because he's already such an introverted person. But since it was the 1930s, I don't know how he would bode with getting food and things like that because there was no Uber Eats or anything like that. He might have to put his mask on and like go out to the streets and try to get groceries or something.

Biggest quarantine splurge? I bought a bunch of games on PlayStation and vinyls for my vinyl player that hasn't worked in three years. But it's like, "One day, I'm going to fix it."

  • Jeremy Pope

Did you treat yourself with anything special to celebrate? Took the day off from working out and ordered a dozen Cheddar bay biscuits from Red Lobster.

The moment you’d realized your character/show had become a breakout? For my birthday, a fan put together an online scrapbook where people from all around the world wrote personal messages to me. It moved me. I was able to read stories of how Hollywood’s message and support of LGBTQ visibility gave wings and hope to so many. Especially the folks who live in countries where it is illegal to be entirely themselves.

How would your character do in quarantine? Just fine. The Archie Coleman hustle is year-round no matter the season.

Biggest quarantine splurge?  The abundance of Postmates and UberEats transactions on my account is jarring.

  • Nicholas Braun

Did you treat yourself with anything special to celebrate? I bought myself a pack of four toothbrushes at CVS about an hour after I got the news.

The moment you’d realized your character/show had become a breakout? I think it might have been when a piece from the New Yorker was written about Cousin Greg, calling him a “secret weapon” of the show. I was like, “All right, the New Yorker. This is the real deal.”

How would your character do in quarantine? Greg would start off paranoid. Face shield, rubber gloves. Take his clothes off in the hallway like he works at a hospital. A couple weeks in, he’d have exhausted himself.

Biggest quarantine splurge? I haven’t made the purchase yet, but I’m on the hunt for a great upright piano. I want to take some virtual lessons.

  • Yahya Abdul-Mateen II

Did you treat yourself with anything special to celebrate? Yes! I'm a big fan of the Jordan Brand, so I purchased a pair of Jordan 1's. Maybe I'll get a watch as well.

Have you heard from any fellow actors or anyone else in the industry about your work that surprised you? I met Big Sean and he mentioned he was a fan of my work on the show. I thought that was dope.

The moment you’d realized your character/show had become a breakout? I was in front of a coffee shop in Manhattan and a guy passing by recognized me. He said, "Dr. Manhattan! Man that role changed my life! You the God!" It was a cool moment.

How would your character do in quarantine? Ha! You mean the dude who got tired of humanity so he left Earth to go and isolate on Mars? I think he'd be all right.

Biggest quarantine splurge? Sweats and hoodies. I'll give myself any excuse to buy comfortable athletic wear.

  • Ramy Youssef

Did you treat yourself with anything special to celebrate? I got a bunch of pizza and pasta from John and Vinnie's.

Have you heard from any fellow actors or anyone else in the industry about your work that surprised you? Someone sent me an interview where they were asking Brad Pitt what he was really liking on TV and he said he loved our show. That was cool because that's the kind of thing you can send to you mom. Because there's a lot of stuff that happens and it's dope, but it's not on like, mom awareness level.

The moment you’d realized your character/show had become a breakout? Drake released a song where he's rapping in Arabic and a bunch of people blamed me because his Arabic was not good and they were like, "Oh, this is Ramy's fault." Just so many people were like, "Ah, Drake's watching Ramy. That's what happened." And just this really funny internet way of people being like, "Ah dude, you put us too mainstream. Why'd you do this?”

How would your character do in quarantine? He'd be pretty self-destructive. I think it would be a tough time for him, but I also think maybe he would be forced to face himself in a different way and maybe could grow, but I think it would be definitely tough on him.

Biggest quarantine splurge? I haven't done it yet actually, but I've been heavily debating this $200 pair of sandals that apparently it's just amazing to walk on. Because just buying something like that, I just hear my dad's voice in my head, "You did what?! For what?!"
