Golden Globes: Watch the Trailers for the Best Motion Picture, Drama, Nominees

'The Shape of Water' has the most nominations overall this year.

All five of the films nominated for best motion picture, drama, hold nominations in other categories. 

The Shape of Water leads this pack with a total of seven nominations, followed closely by The Post and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, both with six.

  • Call Me by Your Name

    Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer also landed acting noms for this coming-of-age gay romance.

  • Dunkirk

    Dunkirk grabbed three noms total, including best director for Christopher Nolan and best score for Hans Zimmer. 

  • The Post

    Meryl Streep set a new record for herself by earning her 31st acting nomination from the Globes. The film about the Pentagon Papers secured four other noms, including best actor for Tom Hanks, best director for Steven Spielberg, best screenplay for Liz Hannah and Josh Singer, and best original score for John Williams.

  • The Shape of Water

    The Shape of Water garnered the most nominations of any film this year with seven, also including best actress for Sally Hawkins, supporting nods for Octavia Spencer and Richard Jenkins, best director for Guillermo del Toro, best screenplay for del Toro and Vanessa Taylor, and best score for Alexandre Desplat

  • Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

    Three Billboards scored six noms total, including acting nods for Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell, directing and writing nods for Martin McDonagh, and a best original score mention for Carter Burwell
