Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld's family costume bash, haunted hayrides and a 'Hocus Pocus' musical are among L.A.'s offerings for a spooky-good time.

  • Dream Halloween Costume Party Benefitting Starlight Children's Foundation

    The MacArthur, 601 S Park View St, Los Angeles | Oct. 21, 5 p.m.

    Celebrities, philanthropic individuals and socially responsible companies come together for the annual charity costume party to entertain and raise millions for children affected by serious illnesses. Boy Band’s In Real Life, Alexander Jean duo Mark Ballas & BC Jean and the all-kid circus troupe Le Petit Cirque will perform with VIP guests expected to walk the red carpet.

  • The 2017 Maxim Halloween Party

    Los Angeles Center Studios | Oct. 21, 8 p.m.

    The annual party, produced by Karma International, which has drawn the likes of Chris Brown, Ne-Yo and Nick Jonas, will be full of spooky sets, themed performers a fashion show and celebs in their hottest costumes. Jason Derulo will give a headlining performance for invited guests including Miguel, Tara Reid, EJ Johnson, Cardi B and Machine Gun Kelly.

  • Cinespia Screenings and Costume Ball

    Hollywood Forever Cemetery and Los Angeles Theatre | October 21 and 28

    Brie Larson, Emma Stone, James Franco and Ryan Gosling have attended Cinespia's outdoor cinematic experiences at Hollywood Forever which is screening a special 4K restoration of the late George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead (1968). For more of a party scene, Cinespia's costume bash on Oct. 28 will kick off their Downtown L.A. screening series complete with a magic show, live music, full bars and a special showing of Labyrinth (1986).

  • LAND's Feast of the Immortals

    627 S Carondelet St., Los Angeles | Oct. 25, 6-11 p.m.

    The biennial charity gala and artwork auction will feature performances from Rufus Wainwright and Carolyn Pennypaker Riggs. Funds raised from artists will go towards LAND’s free programs including performances, workshops, residencies, discussions, educational opportunities, and publications aimed at bringing art to the public.

  • GOOD+ Foundation Bash Hosted by Jessica and Jerry Seinfeld

    The Culver Studios | Oct. 22

    The Seinfelds are hosting Ike Barinholtz, Jordana Brewster, Terry Crews, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Kathryn Hahn at the second annual Halloween fundraiser for mummies, daddies and kiddies complete with carnival rides and an In-N-Out cookout trailer. Costumes are encouraged and funds raised will go towards helping L.A. families living in poverty.

  • Casamigos Annual Halloween Party

    Secret West Hollywood Location | Oct. 27

    Former Casamigos owners George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman may not own the popular Tequila brand anymore, but they are once again throwing a star-filled Halloween affair for the books along with their families including Amal Clooney and Cindy Crawford. This year, Gerber is transforming a secret West Hollywood location into a 70s-themed bash as a follow-up to last year's party, which drew the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Toby Maguire (who once dressed as the wolf pack together) to Meldman's home. The exclusive event has maintained a high caliber guest list of A-listers in costume from Fergie, Serena Williams, Lenny Kravitz, Ryan Seacrest and Alessandra Ambrosio, to tycoons such as Scott Stuber, Patrick Whitesell and Brian Grazer (who once dressed as part of Run-DMC).

  • 42 Initiative’s Thrill-O-Ween Michael Jackson Halloween Event

    Boys and Girls Club, 1238 Lincoln Rd, Santa Monica | Oct. 27, 4-9 p.m.

    Inspired by the Michael Jackson Halloween TV special, airing on CBS on Oct. 27, the non-profit 42 Initiative is throwing a celebration for kids to coincide with the airing. Activities include whiffle ball, basketball tournaments, face painting, pumpkin carving and more as a safe alternative for kids.

  • TAO Group’s Carnal Carnival

    Dream Hollywood, 6417 Selma Avenue, Los Angeles | Oct. 28

    TAO is bringing back their infamous L.A. block party for an immersive Carnaval experience. Circus characters will greet guests as they enter through an alley and ride the haunted elevator up to The Highlight Room atop DREAM Hollywood, where the space will transform into Les Carnaval Des Animaux - an exotic Zoo with a twist. DJ and wild animal tamer, Erick Morillo, will spin tunes throughout the night.

  • Mama Shelter’s Haunted House Halloween Party

    Mama Shelter, 6500 Selma Ave, L.A. | Oct. 28, 7 p.m.

    In true Hollywood Spirit, party at Mama Shelter’s transformed Haunted Hotel complete with original props from thriller films including Saw, Annabel, Paranormal and Insidious. DJs will be on every level from the lobby to the restaurant and rooftop and guests are encouraged to wear costumes for the contest where free stays and restaurant vouchers are among the prizes.

  • 18th Annual Day of The Dead

    Hollywood Forever, Los Angeles | Oct. 28, 12 p.m.

    Hollywood Forever will be full of music, dancing and plenty of food at what is described as L.A.'s largest Dia de Los Muertos celebration.

  • Matthew Morrison’s 8th Annual Party

    Poppy, 755 N. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles | Oct. 28

    Actor Matthew Morrison is throwing his annual party at H.Wood Group’s (Bootsy Bellows, Delilah, Nice Guy and Peppermint Club) new spot Poppy. Morrison’s former Glee co-stars Darren Criss, Chord Overstreet and Chris Colfer as well as Sarah Hyland and Lucy Hale have previously partied at the event in the past where The Café Wha band performs yearly and Morrison and Adam Lambert have surprised guests with a performance in the past.

  • SIXTY Hotels’ Rooftop Party

    Spend Halloween weekend on the rooftop with drinks, food specials and sounds by DJ Steingold into the night.

    2 Chainz is hosting Lure’s party where Hip Hop and EDM music will be playing all night.

  • The Hollywood Roosevelt’s Costume Ball

    The Hollywood Roosevelt, 7000 Hollywood Blvd. | Oct. 28, 8 p.m.

    Playboy Mansion is the theme of the night in honor of the late Hugh Heftner. Guest DJ’s will be spinning in multiple rooms and Young Thug will perform. Ticket information is available here.

  • Au Fudge CAMP Halloween Party

    1106 N La Cienega Blvd, Suite 105, West Hollywood | Oct. 30, 5-7 p.m.

    Jessica Biel and her fellow Au Fudge restaurant founders are holding a private bash for kids of all ages (and adults) to celebrate their newly launched West Hollywood camp space offering creative, fun and educational activities and events for kids. Classes include Mad Science, Spanish tutoring, rock climbing, etiquette, dance and theater as well as cooking and nutrition classes in the Au Fudge restaurant nearby. Children are encouraged to dress up for the occasion where food and drinks will be served in the new space hosted by Biel along with interior designer and stylist Estee Stanley, producer and author Kimberly Muller, Terrace Tower, Australia owner Monica Saunders-Weinberg, Barry’s Bootcamp CEO Joey Gonzalez and Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop CEO Jonathan Rollo.

  • L.A. Haunted Hayride

    If It's Pennywise wasn’t enough of a scare, clowns are taking over as the theme for this year’s annual chilling ride in Griffith Park. The month-long fright fest offers four zones to travel through and a corn maze designed to give guests a thrilling experience.

  • The Unauthorized Musical Parody of 'Hocus Pocus'

    Rockwell Table & Stage, 1714 N. Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles | Sept. 21 – Nov. 17

    This year’s eighth live interpretation of the 1993 Halloween film, originally starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, puts a musical spin on the tale of a coven of evil witches with participating actors from film, TV and Broadway.

    The production, however, is recommended for mature audiences. Marissa Jaret Winokur, who plays Bette Midler's character Winifred "Winnie" Sanderson, told Playbill in an interview that the adaptation - featuring throwback songs from The Backstreet Boys and Michael Jackson - is not for kids: "You need to be inviting your friends and getting a babysitter’ because it’s [at] a nightclub… It’s a bar. We say, ’fuck!’”

    Watch Hocus Pocus, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Pulp Fiction and the original It film under the stars with a view of the Hollywood Hills.     The champagne brand is throwing their annual costume Halloween celebration at venues across the country with two events in Los Angeles at nightspots Mama Lion (Oct. 27) and Bootsy Bellows (Oct. 28 and 31). Expect plenty of bubbly.

  • Rooftop Cinema Club

    Montalban, Hollywood and LEVEL, Downtown L.A. | October

    Get Out, Beetlejuice, Carrie, Hocus Pocus and The Shining are some of the special open-air Halloween film screenings occurring outdoors against a backdrop of the city. Viewings with wireless headphones are available in the historic Montalban Theater in Hollywood and a newer destination in downtown Los Angeles known as LEVEL. View the full schedule here.

  • Boo at the L.A. Zoo

    Los Angeles Zoo | Oct. 1–31, 10-4 p.m.

    Families can watch animals get into the Halloween spirit at the L.A. Zoo. “Fearsome Feedings” events will allow guests to watch carnivores devour their favorite fare – carcasses and bones – while less gruesome activities include getting up close with nocturnal animals, participating in puppet shows, pumpkin carving demonstrations and spooky mazes.

  • Urban Death: Tour of Terror 

    Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group | Oct. 6-28, 30 and 31

    Guests must first go through a maze with a muted flashlight which leads them to the show full of a series of horror vignettes. After the show, the only way out is back through the haunted maze. Tickets can be purchased here.

  • Addams Family Halloween Fundraiser for Puerto Rico

    MiniBar Hollywood, 6141 Franklin Ave., Hollywood | Oct. 31, 8 p.m - 12 a.m.

    Party for charity at the Addams Family-themed costume bash where all proceeds go towards Puerto Pico hurricane relief. The Hollywood event is hosted by Raul Julia Jr. son of the late Puerto Rican actor Raul Julia who played Gomez Addams on the memorable films. Show up ready to outdress Julia for the costume contest plus enjoy the open bar and raffle.
