In celebration of 4/20 on Saturday, several industry-loved cannabis and CBD brands are debuting new products and events. Companies like Lord Jones, Higgs and Lowell Herb have developed new weed offerings for the holiday.

Influencer marketing platform Traackr reports that the CBD brands Lord Jones, Beboe and Leef Organics are dominating influencer conversations. The word "CBD" has seen a 101 percent increase in mentions by beauty and fashion influencers over the last year, while "sativa" has increased in conversations by 345 percent. The Hollywood Reporter has reported on the rise of cannabis fashion and CBD beauty on the red carpet, alongside new inventions like the social media app High There! and even CBD-infused manicures by Bellacures. Beboe, a luxe brand that counts Cameron Diaz as a devotee, just expanded into beauty in March with serums and sheet masks.

In February, popular Los Angeles dispensary MedMen tapped Spike Jonze and Jesse Williams for a short film; Williams told THR he joined the campaign in order to call attention to America's complicated relationship with marijuana. “A symbol of counterculture is just…culture,” Williams said. “Here’s to the new normal.” Also going into the brick-and-mortar weed business are Barneys New York, which opened The High End shop within its Beverly Hills outpost this year, and wellness brand Dosist that opened its first store in Venice this month.

Here's how Hollywood is getting its high-end high on 4/20.

  1. 1

Cannabis lifestyle brand Higgs is curating a cannabis block party at Venice Beach on Saturday, called Buds on Rose. Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, hairstylist Jen Atkin and Alice Eve are among the fans of the L.A.-based company, which sells products at shops such as Hollywood's Herbarium, Rose Collective in Venice and 99 High Tide in Malibu.

Attendees can sign up online to receive day-of details, and check-in at the Civilized offices at 818 Hampton Dr., Venice, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Guests of the public event then receive a map describing participating shops, band performances, DJs and free CBD drinks, tacos, pre-rolls and haircuts.

  2. 2

Medmen, with locations in Beverly Hills, downtown, West Hollywood and at LAX, is doing a series of special discounts for 4/20. Select items will be priced at just $4.20 all day, including edibles, topicals, CBD items, vape cartridges and flower (limit of five per customer).

    From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., all items will be 30 percent off and, all day, stores are giving $15 off a $100 purchase, $30 off a $150 purchase, $50 off a $200 purchase and $120 off a $420 purchase.

The Pottery in Venice is offering 20 percent off everything in the store on Saturday. And the first 420 customers to make a minimum purchase of $60 will receive gift bags valued at $200. An array of brands (such as Heavy Hitterse, Stiizy, Korova, Fade Co. and Glass House Farms) will be doing in-store demonstrations and offering specials. A Fat Burger food truck will be parked outside from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

  4. 4

    Lord Jones

In time for 4/20, Lord Jones dropped its most potent product yet: the Royal Oil ($100). Containing only CBD oil and pure grape seed oil, it can be used as a topical oil, an edible tincture or a beverage booster. Clients include Mandy Moore, Melissa McCarthy, Olivia Wilde and stylist Karla Welch (who counts Sarah Paulson and Tracee Ellis Ross as clients).

  5. 5

Barneys New York in Beverly Hills

Barneys New York got in the weed game earlier this year with the opening of The High End luxury cannabis shop in Beverly Hills, featuring accessories and CBD beauty. New in stock in time for 4/20 are five vintage Hermes ashtrays (from $600 to $1,200); beauty products from Saint Jane Beauty, Lab to Beauty and The Good Patch; and jewelry from Loren Stewart (bracelets, necklaces and rings, including a new cigar ring with a diamond centerpiece).

  6. 6

Actresses Devon Aoki (2 Fast 2 Furious) and Joy Bryant (Parenthood) were among those to fete the opening of Dosist's first brick-and-mortar store this month when it opened in Venice. The cannabis wellness brand, whose "Calm" and "Bliss" pens are used by stylist Alexandra Mandelkorn, hairstylist Jen Atkin and makeup artist Jenn Streicher, further celebrated at Coachella for a wellness weekend at Two Bunch Palms Spa Resort.

"We think about the greatest brands, Chanel to Nike to Apple. What would those brands be without the Nike store, without the House of Chanel?" CEO Gunner Winston told THR of the decision to open Dosist's own shop.

  7. 7

Upscale brand Beboe, founded by Hollywood tattoo artist Scott Campbell, who is married to actress Lake Bell, may be known for its rose-gold pens, but it expanded into the beauty realm in March. The brand, used by Cameron Diaz and Busy Philipps, launched a CBD-driven skincare line with Beboe Therapies Face Serums ($148) and Beboe Therapies Sheet Masks ($78), featuring 300 and 50 mg of CBD each.

  8. 8

    Higher Standards

New York-based high-end head shop Higher Standards debuted an artistic collection of weed-themed ceramics with potter and designer Jonathan Adler on Saturday. The Jonathan Adler x Higher Standards collab offers porcelain trays ($38), coasters ($78) and catchalls ($58) available online and at Higher Standards stores (Adler counts Kylie Jenner as a fan).

“I express my hedonistic side through my designs,” Adler said in a statement. “This collection is irreverent and glamorous — just like Higher Standards.”

  9. 9

    Mister Green

Mister Green, which has a location in Hollywood and sells products in shops around the city, celebrated its second anniversary on Friday with new products, including some fresh designs from the brand's collaboration with Summerland Ceramics. (New offerings included a bong, apple pipe and "crystal voyager" emblazoned with the phrase, "This machine kills fascists.")

Mister Green will also be operating a booth at the third annual Shred 420 party at the Echo + Echoplex in Echo Park.

  10. 10

Clothing brand Pizzaslime celebrated its new cannabis brand Merajuana with a Coachella party last weekend. Attendees included Gigi Hadid, Odell Beckham Jr., Diplo, Virgil Abloh, Paris Hilton, Lil Dicky, Kaia Gerber, Ty Dolla $ign, Luka Sabbat, Brooklyn Beckham and Zedd at the pizza party with DJ sets by Memphis Fruit Co. New products, set to debut soon, include Pizzaslime pre-rolls and products labeled "Don't Do Weed."

  11. 11

    Kiva Confections

Kiva Confections offers the best-selling cannabis-infused chocolate in the U.S. — blueberry terra bites. The California-based edible brand also dishes out chocolate bars, mints and gummies to fans including Chelsea Handler and Erin and Sara Foster. Sold at MedMen and Harvest, Kiva Confections catered Kate Hudson's birthday on Friday ahead of 4/20.

  12. 12

    Lowell Herb Co.

Pre-roll cannabis brand Lowell Herb Co. partnered with CJ Wallace, the son of Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace, on The Frank White Creative Blend, launched this month.

The blend is available at Rose Collective, MedMen, Sweet Flower, Green Door, Urban Pharm and more for $40 for a 1/8th pack — plus a portion of proceeds are donated to the Prison Arts Project, supported by the California Arts Council. The Frank White collab includes limited-edition apparel and accessories.

“We’ve been fans of Lowell for years. We love their top-shelf flower and their use of organic farmers for their products,” said CJ Wallace in a statement. “Before my dad was killed, he was arrested for cannabis possession, and I see how the pointless war on drugs has affected our communities — this is why criminal justice reform is important to me. My mom and dad both used cannabis for their creativity, as I do.”

    Jacquie Aiche x We ARE

Jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche (whose designs are loved by Rihanna, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, among others) has teamed up with the Venice, California brand We Are Leone for 4-20 to create a reversible silk charmeuse “emerald eye” kimono in a limited run, printed with her signature eye motif and a crown of cannabis leaves. The $985 is available exclusively at

Aiche created her first “sweet leaf” piece over a decade ago and offers everything from diamond-bedecked cannabis leaf rings and hoop earrings to hoodies and sweat pants, snakeskin lighters and zip cluches in an array of colors, and a ceramic rolling tray, stash jar and ashtray decorated with her“sweet leaf logo.

“I’ve always been a sweet leaf lover,” Aiche told THR. “When I first started designing, I knew that I had to incorporate this botanical beauty for the bad girl who loves freedom, happiness and the high life. It all started with a small sweet leaf stud and the love has just grown from there.”
