Jake Tapper Leads Top TV Personalities Chart for Second Week in a Row
The chart ranks the most popular TV personalities based on data from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus.

Jake Tapper rules The Hollywood Reporter’s Top TV Personalities chart for consecutive weeks for the first time, leading for a second week on the Oct. 31-dated list.
The Top TV Personalities chart is a ranking of the most popular TV personalities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart's methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. TV personalities are defined here as performers primarily known for their appearances on their own TV series, including hosts of entertainment/news shows. The latest tracking week ended Oct. 23.
Tapper, who initially ascended to the top of the Oct. 24-dated ranking thanks to a viral tweet about President Donald Trump, leads Chelsea Handler and Jonathan Van Ness, who each jump two spots to Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.
Bill Maher and Antoni Porowski are the lone re-entries at Nos. 8 and 10, respectively, replacing Tyra Banks and Bobby Berk.

This week’s (Oct. 17-23) top tweet was yet another Trump dig: “Thanks for watching CNN, Mr. President!” he tweeted Oct. 21, quote-tweeting Trump’s post about the Florida gubernatorial debate, which was broadcast by CNN and moderated by Tapper.
