Multiple shakeups on The Hollywood Reporter‘s Top Comedians chart dated Jan. 9 occur, but one spot remains the same, as Kevin Hart rules the list for a second week in a row.
The Top Comedians chart is a ranking of the most popular comedians on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart's methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. The latest tracking week ended Jan. 1.
Besides Hart’s continued reign, every other position on the list changes hands in some form, with Joe Rogan (4-2), Ricky Gervais (5-3), Colleen Ballinger (2-4) and Tommy Chong (6-5) rounding out the top five. More on Rogan's rise below.
