Nanjiani’sincrease of likes on Twitter – up 5 percent to 494,000, along with an 18 percent boost in Twitter followers – comes via the actor/comedian telling the story of wife Emily V. Gordon’s illness and their relationship that was the subject of the semi-autobiographical film The Big Sick in which Nanjiani starred last year. The series of tweets was kicked off photos of Nanjiani’s visitor badge from the hospital at which Gordon was held, on which he wrote his phone number for her mother. “Certain objects have the power to pull you back,” he wrote. “Wow.”
