Kevin Hart Leads Top Comedians Social Media Ranking for 11th Week

Hart’s lead on the chart, which ranks the most popular comedians based on data from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, comes after launching his latest project, the Laugh Out Loud app.

Kevin Hart retains his lead on The Hollywood Reporter’s latest Top Comedians chart (dated Aug. 16), while Kumail Nanjiani and George Lopez re-enter the 10-position chart.

The Top Comedians chart is a ranking of the most popular comedians on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart’s methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. The latest tracking week ended Aug. 8.

D.L. Hughley, Bill Maher, Joe Rogan and Ricky Gervais round out the top five.

The mobile app is available for $2.99 a month and features stand-up specials, scripted comedies and more.
