'120 BPM' Tops France's Lumiere Awards
Agnes Varda's Oscar-nominated 'Faces Places' also took the best documentary prize.

120 BPM was the big winner at France’s Lumiere Awards Monday night, sweeping the categories in which it was nominated, including best picture and best director for Robin Campillo.
The Cannes Grand Prize winner also took the best actor prize for Nahuel Perez Biscayart and best new actor for Arnaud Valois, as well as the original screenplay prize for Campillo and Phillipe Mangeot and best score for a total of six awards selected by the foreign press association.
For this third time at the podium, Campillo brought up the cast and crew that were on hand.

Jeanne Balibar won best actress for her work in Mathieu Amalric’s Barbara, while the film also won best cinematography. Laetitia Dosch took the best new actress prize for her portrayal of a young Parisienne in Montparnasse Bienvenue.
Ernest & Celine creator Benjamin Renner and Patrick Imbert’s The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales took the best animated film prize, which was the first award of the night.
