Mike Huckabee retakes the No. 1 spot on The Hollywood Reporter’s Top TV Personalities chart, with Jake Tapper and James Corden at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, after the TBN personality on the ranking dated Aug. 22.
The Top TV Personalities chart is a ranking of the most popular TV personalities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart's methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. TV personalities are defined here as performers primarily known for their appearances on their own TV series, including hosts of entertainment/news shows. The latest tracking week ended Aug. 14.
Huckabee takes over at No. 1 for fellow TBN personality Mike Rowe.
Stephen Colbert in fourth place and Chris Hayes round out the chart’s top five.

Like Mike Rowe before him, Huckabee ascends to No. 1 thanks in part to his ribbing of the plastic straw ban in multiple cities, including many in California, where he was traveling on Aug. 14. “Since it’s become a foreign country I have my passport and stashed some plastic straws in lining of suitcase,” he tweeted. “If caught I will ask for sanctuary status!” Huckabee’s Twitter follower count grew by 7 percent in the tracking week.
