
Following the success of the 1986 Matthew Broderick-starring Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, the television remake Ferris Bueller premiered in 1990. The 13-episode TV series stars Charlie Schlatter as Ferris and similarly follows the film’s theme of teenage rebellion by tracking the misadventures of Ferris and his high school friends.

Ferris Bueller is skipping school on Netflix next month.
The classic film will be available on the streaming service in Oct., along with American Horror Story: Hotel and Kung Fu Panda 3. Netflix originals like Mascots, Black Mirror: Season 3 (Part 1), and Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids will also premiere next month.
