The 2018 ceremony saw off-camera celebrity reunions and fanfare from Nicki Minaj, Jimmy Fallon and more.
The 2018 People's Choice Awards telecast saw plenty of memorable moments, including a Spice Girls shoutout from Victoria Beckham and a piano performance from John Legend that prompted a standing ovation.
But several more morsels of celebrity mania continued to occur offscreen where the cameras didn't reach at Santa Monica's Barker Hangar on Sunday night. From celebrity reunions inside the venue to fan interactions on the red carpet, Nicki Minaj, Chrissy Teigen, Jimmy Fallon, Melissa McCarthy and more guests and honorees made the most of Hollywood's star-studded night.

While presenting the award for reality show to Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Teigen gave shoutouts to many of her reality star friends, including the Kardashians and the casts of Chrisley Knows Best and Vanderpump Rules. Later in the show, Teigen proved her reality connections off-camera by visiting their floor tables to hug her Kardashian and Vanderpump friends.
Many unusual celebrity match-ups across various branches of the entertainment industry made for some unprecedented star interactions. For example, rapper Nicki Minaj and comedy actress Melissa McCarthy sat side-by-side at their winners table, where they cheered each other on throughout the show. While Allison Janney presented the inaugural icon award to McCarthy, Minaj leaned back in her seat to smile at the Can You Ever Forgive Me? star and shower her with applause.
Talent tended not to stick around longer than necessary, with many winners leaving their seats after they took the stage to accept their trophies. By the end of the show, the Kardashians, Minaj and more were nowhere to be found with their tables taken over by seat-fillers.
Before taking the stage to present the female artist award to Minaj, Fallon shared his trademark smile and charisma with fans and fellow celebrities who approached him for photos. The Tonight Show host happily posed for as many as he could before the end of the commercial break.
The People's Choice Awards are, of course, for the people, which meant eager fans lined nearly every inch of the arrivals carpet, where they got to meet some of their favorite stars. Most paused briefly for high fives and photos, but some, like Rita Ora and Kat Graham, engaged in full-blown conversations with lucky onlookers. Ora even apologized when she was pulled for on-camera interviews, reassuring her new friends, "I'll be right back!"
