Dwayne Johnson retakes the top spot on The Hollywood Reporter’s Top Actors chart dated Oct. 25, while Blake Lively jumps to No. 2 and Rose McGowan breaks into the top 10, both re-entering after previously following off the chart.
The Top Actors chart is a ranking of the most popular actors on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart’s methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. The latest tracking week ended Oct. 17.
Lively, who had previously peaked at No. 16 on the Aug. 16-dated chart, spends her first week inside the chart’s top 10, with Sophie Turner (No. 8) and McGowan (No. 10) joining her as first-timers in the chart’s highest ranks, the latter rising after posts criticizing Ben Affleck, Woody Allen, James Corden and others amid the Harvey Weinstein sexual misconduct scandal that has rocked Hollywood.
Meanwhile, Johnson’s week at No. 1 is his 14th, which leads all actors on the chart.
