  • 1. Emma Stone

Emma Stone, who won the best actress award for her role in La La Land, matched her Oscar statuette in a gold, Swarovski crystal-embroidered Givenchy Haute Couture gown, designed by Riccardo Tisci. Stone became the first lead actress to win an Oscar in Givenchy since Audrey Hepburn, who wore the luxury label in 1954 when she took home the gold for her role in Roman Holiday.

  • 2. Hailee Steinfeld

Styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, Hailee Steinfeld stepped out in a pale lavendar Ralph & Russo Couture gown with floral embroidery. "There wasn’t much deciding. It was kind of just, it was the one from the very start," Steinfeld told People of picking out the glamorous gown.

  • 3. Janelle Monae

Janelle Monae made a grand entrance at this year's Oscars, stepping out in an Elie Saab Haute Couture Gown that was covered with feathers, sequins, beads and crystal stones. Stylist Maeve Reilly says of the look: "It was our grand finale."

  • 4. Dakota Johnson

Like Stone, Dakota Johnson also reached for gold. The 50 Shades Freed actress, styled by Kate Young, wore a long-sleeve metallic dress designed by Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele. Johnson is known to wear Michele's designs on the red carpet, and in May, she was named the face of Gucci Bloom, Michele's first fragrance for Gucci.

  • 5. Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep traded Chanel for Elie Saab Haute Couture at this year's Oscars, following a WWD report that claimed the actress turned down a custom couture Chanel creation after the fashion house refused to pay her to wear it. However, a rep for Streep told THR that the statement is false, and that it is against her personal ethics to be paid to wear a gown on the red carpet. Streep ended up in an off-the-shoulder gown and matching ankle trousers, looking fabulous as ever.

  • 6. Halle Berry

Halle Berry stepped out in an Atelier Versace gown, which "embodied the perfect balance of classic Oscar glamour met with a modern rock and roll edge," stylist Lindsay Flores told Vogue. Added Berry: "With this look, I celebrate my natural hair by allowing it to be wild and free."

  • 7. Priyanka Chopra

Styled by Cristina Ehrlich, Priyanka Chopra stunned in a Ralph & Russo Couture gown at this year's Oscars. Chopra's Zuhair Murad gown from the 2016 Oscars also topped Google's list last year. Looks like the Quantico star's fans just can't get enough of her or her red-carpet choices.

  • 8. Viola Davis

Viola Davis, styled by Elizabeth Stewart, was red hot in an Armani Prive gown with shoulder cut-outs. The actress took home the gold that night, winning for best actress in a supporting role for her work in Fences.

  • 9. Alicia Vikander

"Fluidity, transparency, and texture were the key elements; the overall aesthetic we were looking for was a dress that would represent a young modern woman in the film industry of today," said stylist Victoria Sekrier of Alicia Vikander's Louis Vuitton lace dress at this year's Oscars. A Bulgari necklace added just the right amount of shimmer to the look.

  • 10. Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel, who worked with stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, shone in a gold beaded KaufmanFranco gown. Before stepping out on the red carpet, Biel tweeted, "I want to thank everyone from the parts department to the folks on the assembly line for putting this package together."
